Notification from Nerima City Oversized Garbage Reception Center
During moving season, there is a heavy volume of phone calls regarding collection and drop-off of bulky refuse, and lines can be busy. Please submit your application to the Bulky Refuse Reception Center well in advance. For phone reservations, lines can be particularly busy on Monday mornings. Please try calling in the afternoon or on a different day, as the lines are less busy then.

Deadline for online reception
  • Deadline for online reception to have inoversized garbage collected is at 3 days before collection day (4 days before when Sunday is included). Deadline for online reception to carry inoversized garbage is at the day before carry-in day (2 days before when Sunday is included).
  • When applying online, you can apply for collection or carry-in date up to 2 months in advance.
  • ※There is a limit to the number of items that can be accepted, therefore collection or carry-in may not be possible on your requested date.
Possible number of items for application
We accept up to 15 items by online reception.If you want more than that, please apply by phone to the Oversized Garbage Reception Center (03-5703-5399).* In the case of carry-in, up to a total of 15 items can be accepted by phone.
Regarding long items
Items longer than 1 m 80 cm (approx. 5.9 ft) cannot fit in the garbage truck. Please cut them into segments under 1 m 80 cm (approx. 5.9 ft) long. If you are unable to cut an item into segments under 1 m 80 cm (approx. 5.9 ft) long, please contact the Nerima city Resources Recycling Center at 03-3995-6711.
Items which do not qualify for builky refuse applications (cannnot be collected by the City)
  1. Items covered by the Home Appliance Recycling Law
    • Air conditioners, televisions, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers
      Please ask the retailer to pick them up. If you are unsure where the appliance was purchased, please place an application with the Appliance Recycling Center at 0570-087200.
  2. Items covered by the Home Computer Recycling Law
    • Desktop computers, laptops, tablets, etc.
      For information on disposal methods, please contact the manufacturer. If you are unsure of the manufacturer, please contact the PC3R Promotion Association (TEL: 03-5282-7685, Website: http://www.pc3r.jp/).
  3. Other items which are difficult to process
    E.g. Pianos, fireproof safes, fire extinguishers, concrete blocks, gas cylinders, automobiles (including automobile parts such as batteries, mufflers, etc.), motorbikes (including parts such as batteries), automobile tires, etc.

If the item is not in the list, please call the Oversized Garbage Reception Center (Telephone number is here).
Commercial waste generated by shops/restaurants, offices, and other businesses (cannot be collected by the City)
We can recommend a collection company for you, so please contact your local Office of Refuse Collections.

For those who have difficulty carrying bulky refuse outside
Households with residents who are over the age of 65 or have a disability, and do not have anyone to help them carry bulky refuse outside may contact your local Office of Refuse Collections for assistance.

Taking out Oversized Garbage
・Please attach the oversized garbage disposal sticker to each item in an easy-to-see place and put it out by 8 am on the day of collection.
※Please note that you cannot use the oversized garbage disposal stickers other than Nerima City.
・Collection will start at 8 AM and will be done by around 4 PM.
Notes
Garbage taken out that is business-related cannot be collected.
Please understand that service may be suspended for reasons such as periodic maintenance and attending to malfunctions.
